Hello! This time, I want to share some tips with you regarding your face care.Grab a cup of coffee, and let's get started!I often hear people tell me they find skincare very boring. What truly drives me crazy, though, is when they say they sleep with their makeup on! Initially, I'd like us to set aside the word "routine" and view this as an act of self-care.I want you to remember something. In the morning, your body defends itself against external factors, radiation, the sun, etc. Whereas at night, during sleep, your body rests and regenerates. In other words, it’s crucial to wear sunscreen in the morning (Yes, even in winter, the sun has become quite dangerous), and similarly, it's very important to wear your night cream in the evening.Below, you will find the steps that I believe all of us can incorporate into our daily lives. Men and women, YES.
Makeup Removal. (Yes, even if you haven't worn makeup) Take a cotton pad, apply some micellar water, and carefully cleanse your face and eyes.
Choose your favourite cleansing product and wash thoroughly. Then, splash plenty of – cold – water. You can use soap, foam, or gel. There are many options on the market.Beauty Tip: Splashing cold water on your face will both wake you up and, in the future, you will notice your skin is more firm.Face Care: The Source of Your Self-Love!
TONIC LOTION (Yes, in capitals because this is a necessary step that you often neglect. Why?) I guarantee that if you start using a tonic lotion today, you will see a tremendous difference in your face. I would suggest a toner with rose water and/or chamomile. Chamomile has anti-inflammatory properties and simultaneously soothes redness.*If you wish to further cleanse your skin, this is the right moment for exfoliation. Exfoliating products fall into many categories. I would recommend a product with small grains, preferably of plant origin, e.g., sugar. Use it once or twice a week, depending on your skin's needs. After you have exfoliated, a mask is next. Astringent, cleansing, hydrating... so many types. Choose the one that suits you.
Once you have properly cleansed your skin, the next step is HYDRATION. Start with the lightest cosmetics, such as serums, and then move on to creams.A face serum will give you the boost and renewal you desire. Depending on your skin type (and let's factor in age at this point), choose the one that suits you. A serum with hyaluronic acid is a good choice for all ages. The serum penetrates deeper into your skin but cannot replace your moisturizer.Let's talk a bit about your moisturizer. I would suggest a cream that is light-textured or in gel form, depending on your skin's demands. Use a small amount—slightly more than the size of a hazelnut—avoid the eye area, and don't forget the neck and décolletage area. I would suggest you pay a little extra attention to this step and treat your skin to a short massage.
Your Eyes... and Your Eyes
Many times, we forget to care for the eye area. Let me simply remind you that we see and perceive the world with our eyes. Furthermore, it is the most sensitive area of the face, so it's also the first place you'll see "break down." Around the age of 25 is a good time to incorporate an eye cream into your daily routine. A product with hyaluronic acid will save you once again. If you have puffiness or discolouration under your eyes, choose a product with a rich texture and vitamins. I am particularly fond of eye pads, widely known as eye patches, always used in combination with your moisturizer!Lip Care
I avoid petroleum jelly and, generally, petroleum-based products. I personally love lip balms; they are made from oils and butters and promise immediate hydration. Before applying your lip balm, exfoliate with your favorite lip-scrub, or you can mix honey and sugar and gently rub your lips. Believe me, your lipstick will go on much smoother.Night Products
At night, your body restores and regenerates itself. This is why we use night products, which are richer in texture and usually contain photo-sensitive ingredients, which is why we never, everwear them in the morning.Sunscreen
It is crucial to wear sunscreen EVEN in winter. I'll put it simply: It protects you from premature aging, radiation, and skin diseases. Incorporate it into your daily life, and you will thank me later. All the above are some tips that you can utilize, depending on your age, lifestyle, skin type, and willingness. Choose your favorite products and use them daily. You will be giving yourself a very big gift. With love,Despina
